People...whats up...

ksarat16
By ksarat16

Hey everyone,

What's up with the most of you, earlier you weren't like this...

Are all of you out of your F*****NG mind...to keep on fighting over religious things...

Come on folks....QL isn't for that...

We come here, to get away from usual loads of work at office, people come here to find out new stuff, to meet new friends, to have a smile...but not talk and talk over religious things on which none of you who keep on blabbering and bull-s h i tting about have any control...

So seriously, try to take it easy, keep a smile and lets have a good time on QL folks...

Thought for the day, think about it...

Cheers...

Remember, you are all too sweet to be fighting and turning QL into a battleground...a War of Sexes, a War of Religions, a War of Races etc etc...

Alright people, just checking through my thread, and something shows me some signs of prosperity, quite a few things discussed but not seriousl topics...not bad...

Cheers guys and girls,

Discussion is good to an extent that it doesn't get too personal, and sometimes, a few topics are so sensitive that a small spit of fire can ignite the fire and bring down the whole house...(OF QL)...

So yeah, then Morning to everyone...

the only thing some of us have learned from these topics is that they are best avoided.not worth seeing all this bloodshed to learn a little. at least thats the case for me because i see lots of bloodshed at work daily and thats not a figure of speech!!!

When both parents had a career ... something got to give isn't it? So when you have the kids you will have to spend some quality time with them :D

I am in the UK now in Teesside. Just back from Cambridge for 5 days ... off to Lisbon on Monday, then London for 3 days then Lapland to visit Santa then back to UK till after new year.

By coolquietman• 1 Dec 2007 23:05

the problem with online discussions (as we have so evidently seen) is that they tend to spiral out of control.people behind a computer think they have a license to write whatever comes to mind without thinking about how the stuff may affect others.

a religious or for that matter any controversial discusion is best held face to face.in online discussions choice of words is very important because they are the only clue about how a person expresses him /herself. in face to face lots of things such as body language, tone of voice gestures all come into play and can often allievate misunderstandings before they happen.

plus you dont really know who you are talking to.

part of the reason i think why so many religious arguements have turned personal.

to me personally ... no point discussing religion/politics on the public forum. You can't change the way people think/see things ... If everybody agreeing about religion / politic in this globe ... there will be no war/s isn't it? I have accepted that that everyone is not agreeing with everyone else. If you know what i mean.

I KNOW connection is OK - I'm typing in QL! :P

It's our 'router' which wouldn't connect (it is apparently set up to allign with our old Q-tel phone number), so a man came to set up a 'switch' instead and THAT can't find the IP.

I don't understand, all I'm worried about is that he alters something on my lap top so I shan't even be able to connect at ALL !

the apartment has it's own internet connection included in rental (well, I suppose it IS Q'tel ..) however, although it works we wanted to have a connection which allows for both of us to be on line at the same time, and THAT's what it is which isn't working YET! Bloke coming back with a disk tomorrow. hmmmm

I find it difficult dealing with people who won't answer questions .... if you know what I mean. Guess I just have to trust that he knows what he's doing.

What I don't understand is ... how come I can connect without his 'switch' contraption?? and not WITH it!

Happy with it - just ironing out a few things (like internet, cable etc). Surrounded by plastic bags with our little world packed in them - can't find a THING! :D

I am connected to internet, but we had a 'router' (?) so someone came to sort out a 'switch'(?). Neither of our laptops worked after that - grrrrrrrrr. Something to do with not finding the IP address. Bloke is coming back tomorrow, but I'm NOW worried, 'cos at least at the moment I am able to connect by just sticking the connection into the hole in the wall direct!

One my way to Jakarta around 2 yrs ago ... i saw one of the 'housemaid' on the way home had that lucky experience. Somehow she managed to put her 'humble carrier bags full with toys to take home' in the overhead compartment that suppose to allocated to store cabin crew's stuffs. One of the crew just grabbed it out ... shouted whose carrier bags was that ..., poor maids dont understand what she is saying ... and i had to translate it. When she knows the bag belong to her ... she shouted at her that she is not allow to put her stuffs on that particular compartment. Off course then i told this 'sweet' crew that firstly there is nothing written whose allow to put the stuffs on that compartment. Secondly ... her ticket not free (she is a paying passenger too regardless who paying for the ticket) ... she shouldn't treat her with that kind of manner. The charming crew just 'shrugged' her shoulder. Great wasnt it?

not only that i've seen their crew really treat some passengers badly on the plane. Its like when u step on the plane ur supposed to know where ur seat is or if u ask for extra water they are like WHAT!! U WANT MORE WATER???? HOW DARE U!grrrrrrr

you are right 1QR=17Ksh ,but I am also given to beleive that since my major ( almost 100 % ) expense will be on food I can spend about QR 1000 per month and save QR 3000 per month or Ksh 51,000 ? yes i would be in industrial are 30 kms from doha ( towards the south ? )plus shifting with my family would mean more saving ? apartment is 2BHK semi furnished-- TV, washing machine, microwave , fridge , beds etc all inculded-- i have to pick up my own vessels and kitchen stuff -- knifes, plates, etc .

afternoon meal will have to be home cooked-- no mess i guess-- did not enquire deeply.

saggi26 .....family of 4..!!!

Wait think hard....I thought you said for yourself. But with family of 4 I dont think you will get a Mess but will have to buy grocerry & cook on your own/wife.

QR2000 is the cost of grocery for a family. Then kids school fees =QR400x4 = 1600 at least. Plus the cost of books, etc.

Not much is left...I guess.

By anonymous• 1 Dec 2007 17:50

saggi26...main costs here are Rent & now food...

You will be housed..but what about food?....will you cook?/ eating out 3 times a day with that salary will mean spending all of it? Does your company have a Mess?

Medical means treatment at the local govt hospital Hamad medical Corporation.

Most probably you will be in Industrial Area which is 30kms away from the City Doha. I guess the production companies in the Industrial Area observe the Office timings ie 7am to 6pm maybe with/without 3 hrs break in between.

But since yours is a Managerial post you will have relative freedom of movement & not tied down in one place or chair.

1Qatari Riyal = 17 Kenian Shillings so if you feel its good money nothing very bad with that offer. And once you come here you could find other good job.

Most probably you are getting in PRO (mandoob) position...I think.
