I have attempted three times for the test but failed. Mostly bcoz of the behavior of the officer, who just made me nurvse.

Can anybody suggest a way I can get Driving License in QATAR without giving TEST?

spicemom - I think 17 is stil to young to be driving a car and as you have upgraded his bicycle to a racing bicycle, he will in anycase get round the town faster than in a car and just think he doesn't even need a parking space.

nobody wanted to adopt you I feel sorry for you poor poor boy!!!

good idea smokey but nah the car is already there all he needs is to 'qualify' so to speak. yes ppl think driving is easy but wat comes with it .......a) sense.........b) responsibility to not only yrself but to other motorists.......c)safety .

ah dont worry abt paying for this car we will send him the bill plus interest when he already has a job...........hehhehehhehheehhe>kaching kaching-goes the cash register..........(do i have to say just kidding>>??)

well my reasoning is if ya aint smart ya aint gonna drive basically ya need a good head/brain before ya can even think of driving. lets not add more 'crazies' on the roads it is bad enough as it is.........loving thy child is giving him a good foundation in life(amen)

indeed boer also another criteria i set for son before he takes his driving lesson is good results in report card before u even dream of getting a driving license..........lol else its gonna be either on foot of a bicycle for him..........me bad......muahahahhahahha

that clears it up for me. And yes, I think it's better that your son gets his licence back home. At least he will be taught by someone who speaks his language and at the same time he will learn to drive correctly and courteously.

After that he can come here and pick up all the bad habits...j/k

the rate last august is 2100 QR for the full course (40 hours?)..

i think they increased the rate so that enrolees are only those whose need to drive is high..

also think that it is easier to schedule exams when you're enrolled than when not..

good lUck!

then, if he can get the license there, here his test will be much easier

read in one threat that a 17 yr old will have to get special permission fr some top personnel fr the traffic dept (not really sure ) before he is allowed to take the driving at 17 and yes it has been done......

also at least back home they are taught the proper, correct and safe way in driving........for road signs we have a 100 question paper to sit for where by 100% is a compulsory......., safety and road etiquette is strongly stressed upon

is the situation with driving licence age. I have had conflicting advice. My son is 17 now and I am confused as to whether he can get a licence now or only do the lessons and then take the test once he is 18. Does anyone know for sure?

now am wondering should he take the test back home and come back here to do just test to get driving license or just do it all here??

Anybody who fails the test three times probably shouldn't be driving in Qatar without lessons.

By anonymous• 12 Dec 2007 07:39

As he is only 17 he may have to take more lessons than just 25 and as I understand the lessons now cost QR 2.500,-- sen a PM to Martinez II he is currently taking driving lessons and can tell you what is needed and how much they cost.

if you have a licence you need only the short course (12 lessons). Passing is definitely not guaranteed.

I'm sorry you failed 3 times but there is no other way to get a license than to pass the test.

I failed once and then I took to driving classes (short course) just to know what they are looking for on the road test and also mainly because we do not have a lot of roundabouts back in our country. I found out that they are particular about your car's position before approaching a roundabout when you are going right, left or straight.

Try to go into a short course to bring up your confidence.

that is eassier said than done paul considering we aint in his shoes......but yeah i agree with paul when you are relaxed and confident you wont feel nervous........and pls pls the day before the next test do do have enough sleep and rest.........and last thing good luck

theres nothing to be nervous about, relax do everything the way u were taught, adjust the mirrors as soon as u get in the car, seatbelt, drive slowly and carefully and make sure u look in all the mirrors at all times. Plus it would help us to help you if u told us in which perticular area u failed the test, pocket parking or road test?
