hi aimaine!

yup 2-3 wks nga processing ng business visa then i've inquired here sa qatar embassy in manila if i still need to undergo medical exam,di na daw kasi business visa sya but still have to send my original passport together with my visa notice and letter of invitation from the company na nagsponsor sa kin for attestation which will take 5 working days nga and isesend lang sya thru DHL then they will return it within 5 days thru DHL din, tapos go na ko..my fiance's company sponsored me actually thru his help na din syempre.

hope to meet you soon...last week of dec or 1st of january girl.

MANs......i called the agency in sofitel hotel and they said for buss. visa as well u have to stay at the hotel during ur stay and of course u need this letter from the local company here in doha... nakuuuu.... is it the same as (al-shabiba 1st flr sofitel bldg.)tama ba un natawagan ko?? hirap kasi po he doesnt have any company letter kasi so far wala naman real job offers pa... sabi lang nun friend nya, he'll help him when he gets here ihahanap nya ng work un bf ko... haaaaay nakakaloka...

LOvely! at least u have a job waiting for u here na kagad..thats really a good thing.. ako naman kasi bawal din magsponsor kasi sa company namen bawal mahirap if not a member of ur family.. besides magbabakasakali lng naman sana bf ko dto in Doha... legal naman un diba guys????

anyways un buss. visa i heard it takes 2-3 weeks processing then after u need pa ipavalidate sa Pinas and u have to undergo pa some medical examinations and the validation daw 5 days yata... nabasa ko lng din girl eh...

anyways ask nlng din ur fiance kung san sya apply ng buss. visa... balitaan muko haa!!! thanks... u may contact me sa [email protected]

well he's really my bf and we just wanna be together but not like get married or something.. i want him to come here and get a job.. wer willing to pay for the buss. visa but the problem is...if its really safe to do that like what canary said, u never know..they might have really changed and have implemented new laws regarding this... i dont want things to end up nothing u know.. i wanna do it as well in a legal way... well who knows he might be able to find job here because he's got a friend who's willing to help him only that he said he has to come to doha first then hell help him give a job because as what they say there's a lot of job opportunities here in Doha... Guys im really confused and really i dont know nothing about this at all..... somebody just told me to talk to an agent so he'll handle things out for u but im not sure if this is the right thing to do.... is it really legal at all...????? shukran

yes this is a worrying situation actually because of this labour is misused, however, the philippino community is quite large and he/she will find help somewhere I am sure.

The best example are the Nepales some of who are stranded just now poor things.

yes canary, that is the safest and logical thing to do...but we cannot blame some of them to ask (buy) for a business visa first and eventually finding a job here, you know why? its because of the agents in our country...we got some agents there who are taking advantage with these poor guys (financially)..:/

That is probably better, but the new law is in place and it would be better to have help and a job before he/she comes. Also the sponsorship laws will change soon better to wait for that.

As far as I know the visa process has been changed for the Philppines better to check over in the Philippines there was a new law passed to prevent people coming here without having a job as they will not be accepted. I read this somewhere in the newspaper recently.
