Importing Dogs to Qatar
My family and I are moving to Qatar in early 2008 from the US, we have 3 small dogs. How do I go about getting them to Doha? I thought we would be able to take them on the plane w/us as "excess baggage" but when I called Qatar Airways they said they do not allow any animals on their planes. Also, can anybody give me a rough estimate of how much it costs to bring the dogs over?

PS. We will also be looking for 1 or 2 small, cheap cars if anybody is looking to sell theirs in 2-3 months.

good for you, can't believe the dogs were able to travel as excess baggage, did they get a meal on the plane too :)

My dog traveled as excess baggage. I paid about $150 for airline travel.
Dohavets handled everything very well.
Second dog, small italian greyhound, arrived with me last week. Same as last time, no problems, was worried would be too hot for her to fly, en route, getting off plane or adjusting and haven't had any problems! Dog and I adjusting very well, can't say enough good things about qatar pet relocaters.
One of the dogs and I arrived last week...she came as "excess baggage" for which I paid $150.00 at my point of departure, absolutely no problems with customs and had a very good experience with qatarpetrelocators.com.
