Big camel race tomorrow??
Does anyone please have any information or know where a person can get such information about the camel racing at Al Shahaniya. I met a racing camel owner about 3 weeks ago - his english wasn't very good and he told me there was a big race coming up... he said on the 23rd Dec. We took a drive up there on Friday and it looks like they are preparing the course for a big race - flags everywhere etc, but we don't want to miss it by getting there too late!
I'm so tired of finding out about great events in the Peninsula newspaper after they have happened!!

. . . I work with a couple of Qatari's, ( Bedouwin') excuse the spelling if it's wrong. Anyway, they live for Camel breeding, selling and racing. They always give me plenty of notice when its occuring. I enjoyed it but to be honest it's like Horse racing back home, you see one race, youve seen them all. Good experience though!!!
