Cars - Rent or Buy??

BC
By BC

Hi,

Can anyone advise on whether I would be better off renting or buying a car when I arrive in Feb? My job is a permanent position, so I will be hoping to stay for a few years, and would ideally be looking to get a 4x4 of some description!

Thanks in advance
B

IF anyone interested I'm selling my Mazda6, very low mileage, one year old. Will post a proper ad with pictures when I get a minute. Around 42,000 QR only.

for a 4X4 you want to buy, renting 4X4's is bloody expensive a small crappy car will cost you around 1800QAR a month i just bought a used tucson and only pay 1700 a month for 3 years, and there is no buy back at the end it's not like a north american lease or anything

You can get some loan from the bank for vehicle purchase package. They will asked you to pay for such amount of money every month for some period of time and in the end the bank can buy your vehicle back. not really sure how it works but u can check in their website and find out.

Everybody is right and Everybody is wrong, its depend where you stand

either you pay monthly installments or you pay monthly rents

if you pay rent you dont on the car and you wont.

if you pay installments you own the car and you wont have any kind of fear. rental cars you will be tensed as you need to look after it and take alot of care.

so Buy.

if your company is willing to pay the monthly rent then go for it. but i prefer not.
