G17 Salary Range

i have a QP offer for grade 15.

pay is 21500 basic.

I believe I get western inducement allowance and CPA. I think they are 2 different things, but the CPA is only a small payment of around 1000 qr per month.

Is offer ok?

I have been offered QR17500 by QP. HRA offered was QR6500. Heard that the allowances have been revised recently. Can someone advise me on the revised allowances please. URGENT...sandy

This is my frank advice to you :

1. Before you decide to come to Qatar, pls make sure you secure places at schools for your kids. I saw in your profile, you have 5 children with you, it's quite tough to get school enrollment here, more so at QIS.

2. If they offer you Grade 17, QAR 20 k a month is very minimal.

For Malaysians in Grade 17, they're earning Basic Salary of around QAR 30 k a month.

3. I'm sure inflation rate in Saudi is much less than in Qatar. So pls do thorough calculation....

Grade structure isn't a yardstick for making meaningful comparisons.

The comparisons (relationships) are made, normally via job evaluation, and then a grading structure developed.

Irrespective of the number of grades, comparisons can still be made.

When you look at QP, there is a heck of a lot of scope jobwise.

Not necessarily, as Wal-Mart has diverse and international operations. Also, grade structure is a yardstick to make meaningful comparisons among jobs in different functional areas. Too many grades would make the comparison more complicated.

I'm just curious, how many grades does QP have? It looks they have a complicated staff hierarchy. Even Wal-Mart has 14 grades only.

CPA I don't know about. WIA (western Inducement Allowance) was introduced in 1992.

It was never intended to be about currency protection.

Thanks guys for all your input. Appreciate to provide me a clear picture about qp. However, basic salary seems variate a lot in QP eventhough grade is standardized. More comment will be appreciated.

I believe from my research this is in fact the case, so factor that in to your decision!

My mistake in the text. That was what I meant, the passport. The origin being defined by the passport.

WIA is regardless of roots, it depends on current nationality. If you are dual national then they may try to negotiate non western status (its in QP interest). This can be found in QP policy and procedures.

The only problem I think is for you to get a placement for your kids into the international school here.

I also work in a Q.P Company... According to me its the best company in Qatar that pays really good to its staff.. The salary structure has really improved rapidly lately...

I think its a good salary that has been offered to u ... Regarding the school fees... They are paying 100% now for 3 children in Q.P... Its really Good. They give all facilities, Q.P Company Staff has special discounts and offers at mostly all places (like airline, etc....)

Possibly daejoyoung doesn't qualify for WIA if he's not western in origin

The pay of SR 17000 is better then QR 20000. HA is 15000, WIA has been recently increased and I hope they have not added that to your basic pay as it is in the range of 4500. Basic pay is more on negotiation then grades. I and my friend with same qualifications are drawing different pays. We both are in grade 16 but basic pay is more then what they have offered you. You will also get QR 250 per child for transport(I think max 2 children but don't qoute me on this). School situation is worse with western school. Long waiting time and depends on what passport you are holding.

No idea at the moment for the basic salary for Grade 17 but maybe close to QR 30,000, also 4 of your kids are entitled for education allowance + AXA personal insurance, etc.

The base salary package offered to you is the minimum, in your grade the housing allowance is around QR 15,000, and at the moment you will also received a CPA (currency protection allowance)+ transport of QR 2000. Upon joining QP you will get a good sum of amount for furnishing allowance.

It's a good salary for Qatar, nearly as good as Dolphin Energy would give you.

this package is good,also there are some other allowances also,so feel feel to join QP.this very good company with attractive benefits as well as good family life ,too better than saudia.
