Can anyone help with Qatar Airways new fare plans

I am trying to book a flight to the UK in Apr/May and may need to change the flight day back to Doha. Looking at the fare it gives me several optins. I am thinking of booking Econony Super value plus or Economy Standard-Value 2.

Econony Super value plus mentions, changes before departure QAR-350 + fare difference up to sell or full fix. Economy Standard-Value 2 mentions QAR 250+, fare difference if any.

Now I am a bit confused with the wording "fare difference up to sell or full fix". I have called Qatar Airways and all they said was I would be charged QAR 500 for Economy super value plus if I changed my flight details, even though it says QAR 350 and they could not tell me what wording "fare difference up to sell or full fix" means.

Can anyone help please.

I normally like to book with Etihad Airways as I find their service much better. Having looked at Etihad & Emirates, unusually QA is the cheaper, even if you pay the bit extra so you can change your flights. But I was just a bit confused with some of the wording and nothing on the website to say what it all meant.

Thanks again.

just to warn you of the strict "non-refundable" rule of QA...we are getting loads of problem now in our company for double charging...as of course, sometimes some of the officer would delay or change their flights (right afer confirming)..QA now will not refund, hence, we have to book them a new schedule and the previous sched will just put into waste..:/

Try Emirates, they have no restrictions on change on dates, and they normally do not impose penalties as well. I find them alot better, interms of service - from the ground up :)... as well as over the phone. ! !

Amnesia is right, you can change flights but you have to pay penalties. If you have unrestricted ticket (higher price) you can change it anytime without penalties..

@thexonic, sorry but that's not true.

I changed my flight last week.

Actually I did it at the worst possible time too.

My flight was on the 16th and I thought it was the 17th. I wanted to change it to the 18th. So I called on the 16th and the guy said no problem and besides the extra charge of around 300QR all was well.

As for cheaper flights, you'll always get cheaper flights if you take ones with connections.

Last time we checked the new rules of QA are, tickets once bought wont be refunded nor will be changed for travel on another day.

Try flying with another airline, u might find cheaper fares.

The fare from Qatar to Lebanon is 2600 and this is regular ticket not seasonal. Where as other airlines are charging 1900 to 2100 max.

It's always the small things that make big differences.

If the price of your ticket is higher on the new day, you have to pay the penalty plus whatever the price of the ticket for that day...

Example:

If the original price of your ticket is QR 1000.. then you change your flight, and the ticket price for that day is QR 1500, you will pay the penalty plus QR 500. If the price for that day is lower than the purchase price or the same, you'll only pay the penalty..
