Hi, Can a saudi Iqama holder with 'Engineer' title travel to Doha for visiting family over the weekend by bus/car ? If yes, please let me know the documents that would be required. Does he need a qatar tourist visa or does he require original copy of his iqama or original copy of passport ?? This is urgent, please let me know this information ASAP.

you need passports.

also exit re-entry stamped from KSA.

keep a copy of Iqama for getting on the spot visa at raod (border).

Iqama validity should be min 6 months. passport validity also min 6 months.

yes, you can visit doha anytime as long as you are an engineer visa holder..just get an exit re-entry from saudi and off you go...you can visit by land or air...if land, you can get your tourist visa in the immigration and if by air in the airport..just provide yourself with a credit card since they won't accept cash...

in addition, it takes 3 hours from khobar to hofuf(immigration) from the border one hour to the city...if you will take the land...

enjoy your visit...

Does the saudi iqama require an exit permit even if you are there for less than 1 month and also, if the iqama is multi-entry. My hubby with saudi iqama wants to visit us. So, will our passport copies be required? Also, pls suggest if any minimum duration is there for the exit entry?

I reckon a visa on arrival is possible, you would require yours and your family passports.

Also on the saudi Iqama holder will need to exit entry stamped for KSA.
