what are the requirements on getting a residence visa for my newborn child?
i am a filipino and working here in doha for almost 4 years now together with my wife.
i would like to know what are the papers i need to prepare to get a residence visa for our first baby.
our son was born here in doha last month ago, we already got him the birth certificate and a passport.
your response will be highly appreciated and help us a lot on preparing all the requirements before i go back to work.
thanks in advance. :D

tnx for the info. i hope the time limit for the residence visa application is 2 months. :( coz ym son is already a month old.
i have to go to the immigration then to find out... but then again, thanks a lot guys! you are highly appreciated! :D
Just go to the Immigration Dept with all the papers you have, the staff there will help you through. Don't worry too much, they are very helpful.
Also there is a time limit before you have to start paying a late fee. Must have the baby a visa within like 60 or 90 days. I can't remember which.

Get the residence permit for your child ASAP, After a certain period they start charging you with heavy fines. I am not sure if the period is 3 months or 1 month.
Nye! Pinoy ka rin pala! ganito ang alam kong gagawin mo kailangang isubmit sa Philippine Embassy ang BC ng baby mo tapos i forward nila yun sa Census and then they will issue you an authenticated copy. You have to have someone to process it in Philippines, then when everything is done, they should send it to you and have it translated into Arabic here and attach the original BC, then they will ask you to have it stamp from Foreign Affairs. Then it should be ready to apply for a visa! As far as I know this are all the procedure because they have the same procedure in Oman and when we went to Saudi they require the same thing also here. Ganyan ang ginawa ng Mister ko ang pagkakaiba nga lang sa British Embassy ang process namin pero parehong-pareho daw ang pag process nila. To be sure go to Immigration and ask them what else needs doing! to be sure na wala kang ma forget okay? Good luck!

howdee! tnx for the fast response! :D
yup, my son was born here. so far, what we have are his passport, the documents from the women's hospital and his birth certificate. are those the documents i need to present when i go to the immigration? with regards to the authentications, does the instructions on how to obtained it will come from the immigration?
and hey, tnx for the referral. :D
If the baby is born here, there shouldn't be a problem. have all his documents authenticated from various offices, the immigrtion will tell you exactly what's the procedure, if you go there try to speak to Mr. Ahmed Building # 4 Window # 1.
