I don't know about the National Museum, but the Islamic Museum will be opened on March 22. The CEO had a big press conference recently to say that the 'Grand Opening' will be in November, but the soft opening will be next month.
Hotels and shops and things always have soft openings - it's where you let the public in to test things out to make sure that everything is already working for the big opening later.
Is the Qatar National Museum actually open? According to Marhaba it's closed for renovations.
