In my experience the Injection, but also the progesterone implant (Implanon) can be used for 5 years. Be careful with this one cos the doctors have to be specially trained in inserting these(they go under the skin in the upper arm) and taking them out.

Pill- Ok if you're compliant, ie remember to take it! Has some side effects though.

Condom - Aren't 100% safe but efficacy relies on whether its put on right!

Coil - Reliable, can get some bleeding but the Mirena coil the safest, emits gradual hormones, can last 5 years. Painful insertion and you have to check the strings are in place regularly

Caps/diaprhagms - Old fashioned ruins spontanaeity! /Not 100% safe

Thats all I can think of for now!! hope thats ok !

Yes, I'd have to agree with pwb, no sex is most efficient way. Can be achieved, especially if combined with sleepless nights (due to the recent addition to the family).

If you really insist to do those primitive movements (:P) a pill could be considered (but consult a doctor which one is suitable if brestfeeding is involved).

Otherwise, condoms work really well.

Or just convince yourself that another baby will be a great idea :)

Untill the time you find a long term solution - which only your doc can give you, use a condom.

Why don't you consult a good doctor .. who would sugest what is best for you?

There are lots of factor which determine which is best for you ..  so the best would be to consult a gyneac
