Hi guys!

Everyone said that were already in the modern and liberated world...

Forget the old traditions and culture...

Does it mean we really need to forget EVERYTHING???

How about the solemnity of love, commitment & vows?

Some said its just a piece of paper...

Some said its much better to try it first & lets see the compatibility?

Survey...

Survey...

Survey...

Are you IN or OUT?

QS is right you can have both

- live your life as simple as you are

- money doesn't create man, but it is the man who created money

- don't do what others say, just listen to them, but do what you feel good

Azilana, you said,

"... HOWEVER... I also believe in LIVING-IN (for a certain period of time). You would only get to know someone during their unguarded situation. What if you got married to a drunkard, wife-beater (like my father used to be), a sex maniac ..."

Since when has a drunkard, a wife beater and a sex maniac all been classed in the same bad category?

"Living - in"

 ADVANTAGES

= Getting to know each other more

 = Building dreams together

= Once the things dont work out - Good bye!

= Less pressure and less commitment

DISADVANTAGES:

 = Unstable no assurance

= Investing too much emotions, time and money

 = Unwanted children

"Marriage"

 ADVANTAGES

1. Risk of incompatability is diminished

2. Idea of divorcing is unthinkable

3. Extended family support has its benefits

DISADVANTAGES

1. Inability to make up one’s own mind

2. Love takes second priority

3. Interference from extended family

I do (and still) believe in the sanctity of MATRIMONY.

And it's what binds two people together and be considered "one" in the eyes of MAN(society) and GOD (faith/religion). It guides the couple to respect and fulfill their vows to love, care, and be with each other "till death do US part". All women would like to be called a "bride".

HOWEVER...I also believe in LIVING-IN (for a certain period of time). You would only get to know someone during their unguarded situation. What if you got married to a drunkard, wife-beater (like my father used to be), a sex maniac, ie.

Back then, there is that STAGE they called LONG ENGAGEMENTS. Couples take time to really get to know each other and make sure they are doing the right thing. It's still being practiced, I guess.

Nowadays, it seems like...Oh, let's get married! If we don't clique together, we could get a DIVORCE, LEGAL SEPARATION, MARRIAGE, ANNULMENT...duhhh.

Sorry folks...it's a narrative...a piece of my thoughts...lol

Or to make it short (for the liveing-in part)...BEEN THERE, DONE THAT...got a lot of T-SHIRTS (and other stuff) to prove that...lol

Of course, marriage.

Get married only if one is absolutely sure .

living in means no committment.

For people who cannot make a committment , living in may be a temporary solution.

I prefer marriage.

In marriage, there's a commitment and a vow for an unconditional love to each other and most importantly, there is a blessing from God.
