End of Contract
I am currently working in New Doha International Airport project in sub-contractor of Mechanical works. I have 1 year contract with my current company that will end this June 04, 2008. It seems that the company will not give me any release paper as this paper is prerogative here in Qatar. My question is, what shall I do to force the company to send me to the Philippines with air fare ticket provided which is stipulated on my contract and receiving gratuity from them? Do I have to send them a letter before June will come? Please give me some inputs. Thank you so much.
Thank you DohaSteve and djnavarro.. when i read my contract and Qatar law.. everything are there..
thanks guys...
If your company is professional and professionally managed, they would normally give you a release as long as you were not being terminated for cause, or had resigned. If you are not intending to stay in Doha, they have a legal obligation to repatriate you as per the terms of your contract. If you get into any difficulties at all, I would recommend contacting the Ministry of Labour.
Just remind the company that your contract is about to expire and talk it out with them regarding your release letter and your air fare as stipulated in your contract....
