Presently I'm staying in UAE and got a offer in RAS GAS in qatar. They are offering accomodation in their Al-Khor residential complex.

Will some one tell me how far Doha is there from Al-khor? can my UAE driving licence be converted easily in qatar?

As i'm indian, i'd wish to know is there any Hindu temple in country?

What is the social activities in Al-khor? I heared that in Al-khor CBSE affiliated scholl is there. my ward in gr. 1. WIll it be possible for him to get admission in mid session (say July end)?

please update me for the same

bye!

I know some people who are very happy in Al Khor. I live in Dukhan, a compound in a similar situation being outside of Doha. Of course there are some frustrations, like getting deliveries but generally I love the sense of community we have. Also, your children will be living amongst their school friends, being such a safe environment means that socially, both children and adults are rarely lonely. Very good luck in your move, I hope you will be happy in Al Khor.

Hi,

Gud to know u will be shifting to Qatar..

Al Khor is about 60 kms from Doha and u should be able to convert your UAE license quite easily.infact u can drive with it for some time..

the Ras Gas community has quite a few social activities in their own community.. clubs and so forth..depends on what u want.. but Al Khor is quite a small place.. As to schools the the school in the community has both indian and western streams and admission especially in Gr1 should not be a problem. I dont know of any temples around!!!!sorry
