are bigger, as well as all the rooms, in the premium homes. QIPCO has a decent pool, a clubhouse where they hold pilates/yoga/aerobics etc (or you can hold parties), a great gym, a pool/movie room, a store (LOVE LOVE LOVE it) to buy basic necessities, a dry cleaners, and a restauant & bakery. Also tennis courts/ basketball court & squash complex. Upstairs is a lending library, some shell offices & the Exxon mailroom where you can get or drop off your mail. It really is a full-service compound.
but my friend that lived there (Exxonmobil) when she visited my old house said they were exactly the same. My old compound and Laguna Beach were built by the same company. So how do I compare my QIPCO house to that one. Let's see it's really quite the toss-up. The other house was probably built better, maybe a little nicer, but the QIPCO ones have much more storage. If you get a QIPCO premium house it will be bigger. You will NOT have a choice at all and either one will be quite nice. There are some of the Best, if not the very Best, compound villas in all of Doha.
We checked out QIPCO on Google Earth. It looks like the "premium" homes are somewhat larger and have larger yards. Are there any other differences? We saw the kitchen of the standard QIPCO homes and nearly cried. . .
We found some photos of the Laguna Beach home, but they don't show much other than several photos of the bedrooms, living areas, and common green area.
Any light you can shed on this would be appreciated. . .
I was hoping to see your name pop up! Thanks for the info
I don't think we really have a choice, but if we actually did have a choice between Laguna Beach and the QIPCO premium houses, which would you recommend? We have an infant and a 3-year old.
100 leased to Exxonmobil, 102 leased to Shell. There are 3 bedroom, 4 bedroom, and 4 bedroom w/ office "Premium" homes in QIPCO. The premium homes are bigger all the way around and have much bigger yards as well. They are very very nice.

There's at least one other company there, because I visited a friend who lives there and he doesn't work for Exxon!
Any idea how the "premium" homes (across from the playground??) compare to the "regular" homes?
The whole compound is leased to Exxonmobil.
