you can get most vegetables in the veg market at abu hamour.

i would suggest that you go there late thursday or early friday

and if you really want fresh veggies, ask for ones grown in local farms

i trieds some beans which were home grown and it was marvellous

cheers

inspite of the "ample parking space" its difficult to find a parking there, especially on a weekend. i would advise u to go there on a working day as i found the prices cheaper on week days rather than weekends. bargaining is the key to get the best price. i agree all fruit and veges are not as fresh as u would expect and the the bulk puchased usually doesnt last very long. so unless u have a big family and consume big quantities  dont bother going there.

Is the Veg market near to the Fish market?

Its the 1st R/A after the  Decoration R/a on the Salwa road (to Ind Area.)

There is also a unique looking Mosque with red colour and tiled-roof  very near to the R/A

Turn left

I tried going once at 8am on a Friday morning only to find it crowded and no

place to park. So I didnot dare to get down.

Ive just started to get my vegetables from there, but i think its expensive. Maybe im getting ripped off. Do you have to barter with the sellers to get a lower price or is the price they tell you the final price ?

yes victoria it is...when i went there i found the vegies very sloppy and not very fresh...even though its  covered i think the heat doesnt do them justice...

We have a big fruit-and vegetablemarket....Its a bit tricky for me to explain the way, buy a Marhaba and you will get help....great book!!

You go from the center to Salwa Road and you pass decoration roundabout, after a couple of roundabouts more you take to the left, there are signs, drive maybee 1 km and you have different markets on your left hand.

If you want!!!!! Buy yourself a Camel!!!!

I go there....I´m western!

As far as i know there is only one...personally i went their once and didnt find the fruits and vegetable fresh but i think the advantage is you can buy it in bulk cheaper...The best fruit and vegies place i think is good is the giant store one in Hyatt plaza..and FFC isnt bad either...
