Walking or jogging, the place to go

Aisha-Taweela
By Aisha-Taweela

Last night I went for the first time for a walk around the Aspire. I was so pleased that I thought I should share this with all of you. I am sure there have been previous posts on the same subject but it does not do any harm to bring attention to this wonderful possibility.

The area around the Aspire is a perfect place to go to in the evenings, walk around, take the kids with the biike or rollerblades, jogg or just sit on one of the grassed area for a pick-nick, and watch people play cricket.

There is lots of security that keeps the place safe. It is clean and last night a chappie in a golf cart came round distributing bottles of water, free of charge.

It is amazing, I had heard about it but had never gone, now that I know it I will go back. Thank you Sh. Hamad, Sheika Moza and Sh Tamim for giving such beautiful place for all of us to enjoy.

So all new comers, if you dont know what to do in the evening......

Is this place by any chance near AL Masilah compounds?  If not, how many minutes drive is it?

Thanks.

The huge tower can be seen from all over Doha. Just aim for it. The whole area around it is Aspire

next door to villagio, the entrance is you take right on the traffic light just before villagio (if you turn left you go to tebah garden). All the way down till you see the roundabout, go straight to that roundabout and turn left into aspire complex.

I'll sound silly asking this but where is aspire ?

thought as much.  By the way I always 'pick up' after my dog.  Small Megamart bags are good for the job!

Well I dont think so. First of all a dog is an animal that is concidered najis. Meaning that f a moslim touches a dog he /she will have to clean him/her self really well before going to pray. Second, there is the question of the poo. So am not sure about it, but imagine no. Ask one of the security guys there, they will be able to answer this question.

Aspire Zone and Khalifa Stadium facilities management is presently managed by UGPS (an Australian based Company) run by its Singaporean subsidiary company. The complement on its cleanliness & security is a reward for the hardwork put in by us. Thank you Aisha-Taweela.

The area is enormous, kids can their bike all over the place, there are special bike paths too, I suppose for really faster riders and even horser iding trails. Kids can rollerskate galore. You can either let them bike on the trails or when they are smaller or are on trycles they can be next to you, while you walk.

It is so big, they will not have to run into people, like is the case on the corniche.

All this including the Aspire is part of the Qatari Government, compliments of our Emir & family.

P.S. Darude it was not the the back-side I was refering too, although that has gotten bigger too....

I love walking round Aspire and I have some secret hiding spots where I can read...

Also the sea breeze on the Corniche.... I know now that where ever i live in the future I need to be within 20mins drive of some good natural air:

sea/forest etc....

If you want sea breeze, try the Corniche.
