Guys i need your opinion and advice here, This is my first time at Qatar i got here 2months ago and i was looking for a job for couple of days and actually started working at QTEL and they actually outsource the employee so meaning im not hired directly of Qtel, and im making 5000 riyal w/o accomodation and transportation, but i havent sign anything yet to transfer my sponsorship to the company that hired me. Do you think it is good for new one here? Bachelor degree here in Computer Science i currently work as IT helpdesk....

hi whinter, i think major slice of your salary will only go to your monthly rent and transport expense, unless you will settle to share room with somebody else. you should have considered the difficulty of looking for suitably cheap room before accepting the offer. i suppose you came by business/visit visa. the thing is, once you are already here some (not all) take advantage of your expiring visa. of course, you will just accept the job rather than extend your visa or go exit and the like.

anyhow, you are in a well known company. there is always an opportunity to grow. good luck to you!

hi whinter,

since you are locally hired, naturally, they will just give you the basic salary and standard benefits like medical and life. thats the drawback of being hired locally im afraid. although there are some that still gives allowances, even locall hired.

for a junior staff, that salary is good enough, i suppose.
