i just came from manila last february. they are very strict. only 20kg checked in luggage and 7kg handcarried. they even questioned the weight of my laptop bag being 11kg. they asked me to remove some items but my delsey bag alone is heavy, adding the laptop, cables and the external drive made it heavier. lessons learned, the next time i buy, better go for light-weight bags.

I travelled last year with my son via qatar airways. I was allowed to carry 50kg which i asked directly to qatar airways and 7 kg for handcarry. For my son, its only 10 kg as he was only less than 2 yrs old.

My family usually travel at least twice a year but via emirates. They carry each 50kg + 7kg handcarry.  That is only going to Manila but Manila to Doha, its only 20kg + 7 kg handcarry.

If Economy Class. Each ticket is max of 20 kg check in, 10kg (or i think 7kg) handcarry. period. Its quite strict at NAIA. Maybe they will show a bit liniency for families.

If you have miles or perhaps a gold/silver member, then there is a chance to make it more, or even upgrade to business.
