What a woman
RANGERS fan Ian McLean has vowed to do housework for a year - after his wife spent her £600 savings on a UEFA Cup final ticket for him.
Dad-of-four Ian feared he would miss out on the glamour game after watching prices for tickets rocket.
But he was stunned when missus Bev handed him a Congratulations card - with his ticket for Wednesday's clash with Zenit St Petersburg inside.
Yesterday, he said: "I really, really hate ironing but I'll be glad to do it all for a year, just to have one special night watching Rangers. I've just finished putting on another load of washing and then it's time for a spot of cleaning up.
"Bev is one in a million and I owe her big time. I can't believe I'm going to the game." "You had to peel me off the ceiling when I realised what she had done.
"Bev has to be the best wife in the world - and I've vowed to let her put the feet up and relax as a way of repaying what she has done."
Bev, 33, had been saving the money for a garden makeover.
She said: "If we have to sit in the dirt for a bit longer then who cares? We are all allowed a special treat now and again.
"The look on Ian's face was priceless. I knew how much going to this game meant to him so I couldn't see him disappointed.
"It could be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
very smart lady...lets hope the man keeps his promise with the housework..
wow...a year might a bit overpriced...but well...nice move from both sides...
Doha, I'm coming! Ducks in Doha from 12th - 18th of May :)
good for him,
not only by the look on his face but also by the way he is giving her a year free of housework etc I suspect that maybe he will already be thinking of ways to do the same for her, awwwww
Got to agree with you. i wonder if he would have done the same?
Someone yesterday asked what love is, well there you go, thats got to be it!!!
what a woman indeed.
Grinning
stupid guy..
If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?
We can all learn a thing or two here....sometimes splurging just a little bit to see the other person's face light up is priceless!
Good for her.
Stay safe all.
Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?
i say smart lady...for 600 bucks she got a helping hand for a full year, who ever said Men are superior? lol
