it s true, drs here aren`t paid that well and in part. if you are an OT (overseas trained dr), you are not being treated well at all over here, trust me, i`ve wasted the last 10 yrs in this country and out off here at long last. What is it like working as a dr in qatar?
My name is Pedro, I’m a Panama’s dentist, I want to travel to another country in which i can work in my carrier, some weeks ago, a friend told me about a webpage from Peru which prepares for the OET & PRELIMINAR exams and process your Australian Medical Licence. They also prepare you in all the visa process for the Australian Resident visa, so I entered to this web and I discovered that all was true, plus their fees were very accessible. I’d recommend you, here it’s: [email protected] and webpage: www.onetooneperu.org . I’m already taking the Online OET Course with an Australian teacher, and I was surprised when I noticed that my classes were private which is a plus for them, besides my teachers is 24hrs for me to solve any queries.
Take home pay on £60k over here is about £3,500. Some salaried GPs only make that here and they have to deduct medical expenses and petrol(from visiting patients) out of their take home.
But in germany apparantly they are only paid 30-40k max for the same type of work.
Whereas plumbers and electricians are in high demand and can earn well over 120k a year. Consultant Engineers often recieve bonuses of 100k on top of their salaries..

In Aus its over 150K, you get taxed 50%...its better than Uk at least..
50% What??
And here we are moaning about 40%.. Although they do charge 50% after 100k here in the uk.

Spot on flanostu...the tax is a killer....once you earn over a certain amount, they tax you 50% of your earnings....
My ex-gf is a GP and she wasn't doing too badly although docs in general should be earning much much higher wages. Depends on your experience and location as there is a higher demand in different states. The high tax rate is the killer in OZ.
lol PH..Im not sure what GP's earn but i remember once my GP said that plumbers in Australia earn more an hour than what doctors do, so maybe your right..
Apparantly the pay for a GP is quite low in australia.
