US visit visa

is anyone here privy to US embassy consular section? i am planning to apply for a US tourist visa from my home country but i had been denied a visa before here in Doha because i have a close relative who is a citizen and whom i declared the first time i applied.  i am planning to apply again but this time from my home country and i dont want to declare this piece of info anymore.  i want to know if the consular section from my home country will be able to check my previous application here in Doha and compare it.  Well, i want to be honest about it and i dont want to hide anything since i dont even have plans of staying there for long time but if just because of his citizenship i will always be denied to travel to America then i dont want to declare that info anymore. any risk if i do it? i mean  hide this piece of info?

these consuls only look at your application, passport and letter from company and nothing else so it's really so hard to prove your ties because they dont even glance at your bank statement and other documents you bring with you. they do listen to your pleas but their minds are made up already and will not change at all.

so guys, if you have tips and advice, please post it here. thanks

no, i dont intend to hide the fact that i applied earlier coz it's stamped in the passport. only the info regarding the relative's citizenship which i had declared earlier. i dont think it's fair that because of his citizenship the premise is i am a potential emigrant. if i want to stay illegally, with or without a citizen relative, i will do it, right? but the thing is, they just based their decision from your application form and when they see you're young and single and have a citizen relative, khalas. no amount of pleading will change their mind.

Normally, once u have been rejected US visa, u need to varify this info when you are filling the new form here in this embassy, or sometimes they put this remark on your passport, so they know under what section, they have rejected ur visa last time. But its better, u let them know that previous visa has been rejected, or else, if they find that u are giving false info, might blacklist your name...

Getting visa from qatar is not that difficult if you have company letter with you.

Well the key is to make them feel that you're going there as a tourist and you want to get back as soon as you're done with your visit. I think having a proper itenary on where you're going in the US will help. I've gone for a business visa and I didnt have any trouble at all. They didnt even look at any documents except my passport. Besides I wasnt very keen on going and only did it coz i really had to.

The problem is not in the declaration of your relative, but in the way how to convince the consular officer that you'll be back (that you are not planing to emigrate in the USA). In the application form item 31 you have to declare if a visa has been denied to you which let me think that even you've answer with 'NO' you'll be checked for a previous application. Then if you hide this fact, you won't be able to get visa in a future.

Good luck.
