ON ROAD BEHAVIOUR - ARE WE DOING IT RIGHT??
Topic: Behaviour during a Highway Driving.
Some questions that could lead to the topic:-
1. How many of us know how to behave properly on the highway?
2. How many of us recognize the rights of others while on a highway driving?
3. Do I have the right to risk YOUr safety while driving? (here I and YOU implies to each one of us)
4. Do we ever think of the inconvenience that might cause to others due to our (mis)behaviour while driving?
Some Observations:
1. A few years back, with due respect to all nationals, i used to say that the locals are the ones who mis-behave on the roads. But now it is high time that I have to correct myself. Now-a-days I find that it is the growing expatriate commnity (which include myself) those who do not apply the common sense while driving.
2. I guess atleast a few of those who drive on the highways do not know how to behave properly on the road. And the majority knows the right practice, but they still behave as if it is not applicable to them, sometimes just for FUN!!!
Objective
1. To make our highway trips pleasurable.
2. Let everyone of us reach home safely. There are people waiting for us back at home.
Discussion
Let us discuss our experiences we had on the highways due to any or some sort of misbehaviour of others.
This discussion could help others recognize their mistakes while driving and if willing correct themselves (we cannot force anyone to do the right thing or as the saying goes, it is impossible to awaken a person who pretends to sleep).
