Why look for the things you did at home.

This a different country with different things.

I find if you make half an effort to strike up a converstion with someone [and you are not a pr!ck] they will be more than happy to talk.

I think so many people are happy to find fresh company.

Then you can go and do stuff with them.

Not "with them", I mean not "to them", I mean, oh I don't know, but you know what I mean.

Yeh, get off your bum and go and get some life, it's out there if you look.

boring is when you sit and wait at home and expect it to come rolling at yr feet or wait for it to come knocking at yr door which neither will happen . go out look for things that you'd like to do (like back home only thing diff things here still something to do). have friends would be a good start then fr there work at it. join them that is how ya get the ball rolling.......now dont get upset i am just being honest , you asked we answered.......voila

-hang out A LOOOOOOOOT, tens of clubs, bars and pubs

- who you play poker with?? with FRIENDS, right? FIND the friends to play poker here!

PLUS you can do:

Diving, sand skiing, Gyms, Beaches...and again bars..bars...bars...

Qatar is not boring. there are so many things to do that the whole week isn't enough.

as dweller said get off your ass and be active and enjoy being alive. Don't be lousy coach potato and blame the country for being bored.
