Shipping Unaccompanied Luggage
Has anyone ever had to ship unaccompanied luggage?
I have two suitcases of clothing I am sending to a friend in Bahrain from the United States. Does anyone know the easiest and cheapest way? Can I send it via airlines? Cargo? They weigh about 35 kgs. total.

Yes, check with the airlines. This doesn't really help you, but shipping unaccompanied luggage FROM Qatar to elsewhere via air is surprisingly cheap.
I was told that this is because the cargo planes leave mostly empty (what does Qatar produce for export again...) and that the airlines will take any cargo over no cargo, hence the quite reasonable rates.

I was told in Qatar that I didn't need a ticket to the destination to send it unaccompanied but I was actually flying with a different airline.
I dont think there's any easy way, unless if u send it thru general post services.
