Primus Voip Problem
Hello all QLers.
Finally I arrived to Doha joining my new job.
I bring with me from Canada a Primus Voip, failed to make it work using the high speed connection available at my residence, although my friend has vonage living at the same compound and has no problem at all.
I called primus tech.support and they told me Qtel is blocking and filtering primus IP/Ports.
Any help in this issue will be great thankful, I transferred my phones back home to this voip.
I saw from searching QL there were some old issues, but wondering of any updates.

I found one of old posts, should use proxy setup to solve the problem:
proxy.qatar.net.qa:8080
anyone confirm?

Would you explain me step how to do the setup and deal with port?

THE UN REGISTERED VERSION , NEEDS TO BE RESTARTED EVERY HOUR. BUT IF U REGISTER IT, U GET BETTER SPEED AND NO NEED TO RESTART.
WHT IT DOES IS, IT USES OTHER DIFFERENT PORTS TO WHT THE SERVER HAS BLOCKED..
U CAN USE IT WITH THE TORRENT SOFTWARES AND THE REST OF STUFF,
BEST THING TO USE AGAINST BLOCKED INTERNET EXPLOERS,MESSENGERS AND EVERYTHING
Hi, your primus should work. my voip is working fine for last 3 years here. have you checked with other router or reset all connections...
Recently QTEL seems to have blocked certain VOIP providers, I was using IconnectHere and now it is blocked. Guess the only solution is to speak to the QTEL guys and hope you are lucky to get them.
