EVER WONDER WHY?

EVER WONDER WHY?

Why a Jew can grow his beard in order to practice his faith
But when Muslim does the same, he is an extremist and terrorist!

Why a nun can be covered from head to toe in order to devote herself to God
But when a Muslim does the same she is oppressed

When a western woman stays at home to look after her house and kids she is respected because of sacrificing herself and doing well for the household?
But when a Muslim woman does so by her will, they say, "she needs to be liberated"!

Any girl can go to university wearing what she wills and have her rights and freedom?
But when Muslim wears a Hijab they prevent her from entering her university!

When a child dedicates himself to a subject he has potential.
But when he dedicates himself to Islam he is hopeless!

When a Christian or a Jew kills someone religion is not mentioned, but when Muslim is charged with a crime, it is Islam that goes to trial!

When someone sacrifices himself to keep others alive, he is noble and all respect him.
But when a Palestinian does that to save his son from being killed, his brother's arm being broken, his mother being raped, his home being destroyed, and his mosque being violated -- He gets the title of a terrorist! Why? Because he is a Muslim!

When there is a trouble we accept any solution? If the solution lies in Islam, we refuse to take a look at it.

When someone drives a perfect car in a bad way no one blames the car.
But when any Muslim makes a mistake or treats people in a bad manner - people say "Islam is the reason"!

Without looking to the tradition of Islam, people believe what the newspapers say.
But question what the Quran says !???

Ever Wonder Why, my brothers and sisters?

Nope, don't wonder at all. I know perfectly well why it happens.

this same topic has been on QL at least three times and always the same answer come up, however, one thing you have to look at your history books to learn what acutally happend with Palestine. Not only that but Jews were settled in Tel Aviv long before the aftermath of the second world war and the flow of jews.

As for the description of Nuns well they live for the whole and soul purpose of serving God,and they are not allowed to marry and their dress code goes a long way back. BTW the dress code for Nuns is becoming more and more liberal to allow them to fit more easily into the modern world they are no longer at all covered from head to toe. Check the facts!!!!

so was that one a civil war or something legal? Killing the people with no weapons with no mercy? All knows that they were in Europe and that the European were fed up with them and want to send them to anywhere and unfortunately ... the British find no other place but Palestine to promise those jews with ... wondering why they did not offer them a piece of land in England while they were so concern ...

on your first point, go to the real world and see what do these criminals do ... no one has the courage to show their deeds in a movie, he would be banned for the rest of his life from making movies, and would be sued ...

the second point, that is part of the religion and has nothing to do with you choose or you don't ...

to number 7, this land is our and these jews kicked us out of it. If someone come and take your house, don't tell me that you will not fight or try to get it back in the name of ... they already took my house and I can't do anything about it ...

You yourself said that that is what we see in the movies and newspapers ... why don't you go and spend sometime looking for the truth, trying to understand these people instead of judging them like that without knowing anything ...?

Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment. (Gautama Buddha)

there is something wrong. i just try to give some thought on this issue.if islam makes girls cover themselves, it's quite different from giving a choice as in nun's case.

Got to disagree with some of your comments..Most of the 9/11 suspects were clea shaven..

If Islam says that post pubertygirls should e covered , then there is nothing wrong with it. Remember that up till the earl part of this centur, women in the west used to wear bonnets or scarfs. In fact, many women in Easter Europe still wear scarfs.

I personaly know two western couples where the woman wants to work, but the husband wants her to stay and look after the children.. This is a lifestyle choice..

Your points are quite valid.. There is definitely bias. Remember that most of these problems did not exist before 9/11... Muslims have notgot to wok hard to get rid of the stigma and the perceptions..

1.Matter of image. All Muslims who committed acts of terrorism wearing beards, at least that’s what we see in newspapers and movies. No one jew who wears beard had committed act of terrorism.

2.Nun comes to the point of covering herself when she is grown up. She becomes completely dedicated to GOD and gives away her personal life. Muslims start covering their girls when they are still teenagers, without asking whether they want it or not.

3.Again, matter of image. It’s known that western woman is rather educational and career oriented. So when she stays home, it’s clearly HER choice. Muslim woman is rather prevented from getting educated and is brought up keeping in her mind the only social role as wife and mother. Nobody never heard of western woman who needs to get a husband’s permission in case she wants to work. Everybody know many cases when muslim woman’s request for permission to work has been rejected by her husband, and she cannot go against him.

6. Again, that’s what we know from the movies and newspapers: muslims commit the crime with the appeal “Allah Akhbar!”.

7. one sacrifices himself when the enemy is on one’s territory, when the enemy came to one’s home. Palestinians opposite are getting into their enemies territory to commit suicide.

8 and 9 – don’t think it’s true

10. I'll skip that one

i think this point should be taken to the UN. Sounds funny but i am serious. this message shows that muslims have no feedom infact the religion that changed the world is ISLAM... nice post man....

this way when the other think of me that way, otherwise ... I got nothing for anyone as we all are SUPPOSED to respect each other and put everything a side for god sake and look at each other just as Humans ...

if all will follow the peaceful teachings of any religion, this will be a better place. If it is an ISOLATED case or cases and do not hurt many, maybe everyone will not remember it as what a common act or action. CO-EXISTENSE and RESPECT to one another is the key. Islam can be practice FREELY in any Christian or other non-christian country but why here in the middle-east region, why other religion is not TOTALLY free in practicing their faith.
