i have adsl connexction at home. is it possible to take two connections from the same line using splitter in between.
OR how do i configure 3com wireless router.
kindly help me...
thankin u in adv
It will work as infinit said because it has one USB connector and another LAN connector. I would recommend that you buy a small hub or switch [5 ports D-Link] switch and connect the Q-Tel ADSL router on one port with switch and yo will have another four free.
While you have a wireless 3COM then it is fine, you still can use the ports on the router to directly connect to the internet through LAN or if you want to use the wireless then that would be better if you have laptops ...
Configuring the 3COM is very easy and won't take more than 5 minutes, but sometimes it won't work directly if it would be a replacement to Q-Tel router and you have to go around to configure both as one device ...

I would guess that your wireless router got an internal modem- if it has you remove the modem that you got from Qtel and follow the 3com. You need the Qtel log-in details before you start.
3com also got an ethernet outlet so you can also hardwire a PC to it as well.

If you have a new ADSL,
it comes with 2 outlets,
one LAN and one UBS
both work ..thus you have 2 line ready
If you want wireless,
go get from carefouror else where a wireless system with build in modem and follow the configuration ,
and you will have all the lines you want
