Hobby
Hi guys, my names Brian, i'm new here and will be moving to Qatar shortly as i have just recently accepted a job there. I was just wondering if there is much of a car enthusiast comminity there? Anything from modifying cars to track races or drag races? This is my main hobby, unfortunately i will be leaving my car behind in the UK but im hoping to continue my hobby.
I could only find one website related " www.qatarperformance.com " well the only one in english anyway. If anyone has any information please let me know.

today... its start this morning... like the cars...esp.. the set ups... i saw this morning..the red car.., the green car.. the honda civic..the lowered car of mcoy.. all are fantastic..whew..
Does anybody know the time the car show will start, and how long it will last??
they're group of flipino's enthusiasm..that they are modifying cars...yep.. i think you can find them in industrial area.. or try to go to car show in hyatt plaza on 12 june.. im sure you can meet there who can modify your car.. but drag race team... i think qatar is not allowing it... however therte is Qatar rally association here but it is for BIG QATARI's boys only...

I am not sure whether the police will allow 'modified" cars on the road. i know in Saudi Arabia they didn't.

Yes, there is a Qatar Car Rally Association... But it is not very poplular with common men.. just like Qatar Judo Federation - not so active.
I dont think you will have to modify your car, Rather I find chances you modify yourself as per the Qatar realities !!

Well, a lot of people here got almost same hobby, but a bit different - they are not modifying theirs cars to race, just they are racing to modify theirs cars.
Qatar has a rally team but I am sorry I have no more information, hope you enjoy Qatar
