Bush wants Bin Laden Dead..

I personaly think that they already have the body and are waiting till the end of the presidency to make the annoncement.. BUT!

President George W Bush has enlisted British special forces in a final attempt to capture Osama Bin Laden before he leaves the White House.

As Mr Bush arrived in Britain today on the final leg of his eight-day farewell tour of Europe, defence and intelligence sources in Washington and London confirmed that a renewed hunt was on for the leader of the September 11 attacks. “If he [Bush] can say he has killed Saddam Hussein and captured Bin Laden, he can claim to have left the world a safer place,” said a US intelligence source.

The Special Boat Service (SBS) and the Special Reconnaissance Regiment have been taking part in the US-led operations to capture Bin Laden in the wild frontier region of northern Pakistan. It is the first time they have operated across the Afghan border on a regular basis.

The hunt was “completely sanctioned” by the Pakistani government, according to a UK special forces source. It involves the use of Predator and Reaper unmanned aerial vehicles fitted with Hellfire missiles that can be used to take out specific terrorist targets.

One US intelligence source compared the “growing number of clandestine reconnaissance missions” inside Pakistan with those conducted in Laos and Cambodia at the height of the Vietnam war.

America rarely acknowledges the use of Predator and Reaper drones, but the most recent known strike was on a suspected al-Qaeda safe house in the Pakistani province of North Waziristan earlier in June. Villagers said the house was empty.

Administration is gearing up for a huge new military effort staged from Afghanistan to capture Osama Bin Laden and announce his capture right before the election in an effort to boost John McCain.

The hope is create a public euphoria in which many voters will ignore the meterioric rise in gas and oil prices, the bad economy, home foreclosures, joblessness, poor consumer protection leading to an unending series of contaminated food scares, defective imports, and many other problems.

In my humble opinion UBL has been in Indonesia for years now. It is the world's most populous Muslim country, the climate is good for one with kidney disease, he's rich and famous, I mean, why wait for heaven when you can have your virgins here on Earth. Well, that's where I would be if I were him. His job is done, he is permanently etched in the annals of history and the 'army of the kafirs' are out of the Holy Land.

if Bush announces that OBL is dead (when Saddam has already been executed)?

Ahmadi Najadi? Bashar Asad? Any muslim figure?(Qardawi maybe)?

Will the hunting games be as interesting as in Iraq, with all the amounts of 'fire works'?

Will we see even more 'fire works'?

How far will the 'fire works' reach if the the next prey was Najadi?

I realize that capturing/killing Bin Laden will not end the fight against terrorism, but I still think we should have been going balls out for this guy. Now that his term is ending, he's (Bush) finally got a sense of urgency to get this done.

Shoulda had that a little sooner, imo.

Either way, If he's caught/killed soon and something comes out of this

it's a tough call for what to do with him.

Killing in the field would be bad for the US.

Parading him around for a trial then death penalty would be bad for the US.

The *best case* is to lock him away forever, but terrorist prison recruitment is already through the roof right now, and that would be a BIG boost to their cause.

All in all, there really is no *best case* at this point.

Even IF they'll find him, the outlook is bad.

The spelling is all in who translates, there are a few variants of his name.

All in all, yes, it is still *the* bad guy.
