hi there! in few weeks time, i'll be coming but i don't know much about the country except that the cost of living is quite high... i'll be receiving quite a meager salary from my new company and still they didn't tell how will i gonna live there except for a couple of thousand QD they added in my salary... i've been working in saudi arabia or the past few years but i'm quite excited on this new environment though much open than before..
please help me! could anyone offer a separate room for me and maybe we can discuss this when i come perhaps 1st or 2nd week of the coming month... PS i'll gonna rent the room alone & i'm a filipino.

oh, you got me there! i'm sorry... somehow i need to tighten my belt and just watch those high-paying expats ride their SUVs and park near the ghetto houses that i will soon rent... thanks kickin'

These rents are per month, housing in Doha is extremely high.

this 8000 saudi riyals flat was already my payment per year excluding electricity and water. though the place was not as nice and located at the rooftop of a residential building without elevator, it's quite painstaking when i moved in... i don't want to experience it again... by the way, mr t_coffee you said you have discos and alcoholic beverages are quite allowed here, compared to Saudi Arabia... well, i guess you can say if you're a Muslim, the government's gesture is quite appropriate because two holy muslim site are located in that country... they are very serious about dealing with this mode of enjoyment... no moviehouses too... well, we learned also how to deal with them.. i presume qatar is also getting good signals of european channels, re. the Hotbird??? well, somebody out there knows what i mean...

are we talking rental per month or per year? I'm still quite confused... but thanks pal... what can i say... i used to rent a small 4m x 8m bachelor-rooftop-flat with my own toilet & small kitchen in downtown jeddah for about 8000 saudi riyals. i just returned back here in manila two months ago... i still don't have friends to ask where i can establish myself. since i don't know don't know (either) which street will i be based, nor sure where to stay after working hours, i'll just visit this website by and by... perhaps somebody might drop in to assist me in getting what i really need. Since i already mentioned i only got limited budget for the flat... i guess i'll just have to bear with whatever suits me for the first weeks or months before establishing myself comfortably...
