Well through my experience it is not possible to drive without the permission of the Traffic police consent either my a driving license or temporary with an other GCC Driving license .

If you do have a driving license from another GCC state i am not sure about the period i think its for about 1 month from your date of arrival . If you are on a Business visa you are in a capacity to get a temporary license for the duration of your stay in the country ( proof of which you will have to show is your Visa validity ) You could renew it as many times as your visa is renewed. This however will be after you take the test Directly and PASS . If you dont in the first attempt you could go in for a 5 day or 10 day course and get three chances again .

If you have a Driving license from UAE . It can automatically be converted into a Qatar driving license .

If you have any other Valid GCC Driving license you still have to take the TEST. and get a validity equivalent to your stay in Qatar .

I do hope this information helps you out dude.

Take care
