from a budget range that you'd given... HP Pavillion is the best unit you could get out from your money... you may choose any either... DV2000 family if your purpose is mobility and DV6000 family if you're likely not much in travel... HP Pavillion DVseries ranges from a price starting QAR3400 - QAR6000+ but u may choose between the two DV family series... they are perfect in sound quality.

However, if your preference is DELL or Toshiba... and base on your budget.... better get the Toshiba, choose either from U-400 or A-300.. they are superb laptop.

but if you're wanting to squeeze your budget, turn your savings to take other sound gadgets... go for DELL... i recommend Inspiron 1525 for you... take it from GIANT STORE HYATT branch... they have a very fresh shipment now in displays and they are the cheapest you could get around in town... you can choose to any colour suit your preference as well...

~~~simply call me BONITO ~~~
My Advice, go for Sony or get a Macbook.
HP is poor quality- got one at home, Asus is poor Quality, got one(at service center at the moment), Acer Poor Quality(got a Acer Ferrari, at Cervice Center at the moment)
Also got a Sony which has been working great for over a year now, also got a Macbook which is just fantastic.
Dont buy either toshiba or sony
as they charge u for the name and not the value.
You wanna buy either
Asus, Acer, or HP, I recommend HP as great value for money and quality, and good tech support in terms of warrent replacements
Dell are great value for money, but the parts are cheap therefore break alot, andso you would always be sending the laptop away for repair.
So really go for in this order
HP
Asus
Acer
Compaq ( who are HP anyway)
