Hello there! I strongly suggest getting an Apple portable (laptop)! You can choose from the MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro. Besides having the most gorgeous computer hardware in the world, you also get the most stable/reliable OS and the best software out there. And if you're worrying about running Windows (XP/Vista), you can always do so with BootCamp (start-up on either Mac or Windows) and/or other third-party software like Parallels Desktop (run Mac OS X and Windows side-by-side), etc. You can even triple boot to Linux if you wish to. Also, with a Mac, you don't get virus.

I also plan to get my younger Sister a Mac mini.

FYI, I own 2 Macs - an iBook G4 (Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger) and a MacBook (Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard). My babies have always been faithful to me, and I love them.

[Looking forward to meet other Mac users in Doha, Qatar.]
