You can contact hamleh Al Ansari to arrange umra visas for your family. The price last summer was 100 riyals per person (by air was 200) and you need a picture for each person who is going. I would advise you NOT to drive at night. During the day is ok but the roads are dangerous at night. You may want to drive to Riyadh (about 8 hours away), get a hotel for the night and drive the other 8 the next day.

asif1142 ...I wouldnt advise going by road...as the drive is long & you could fall asleep while driving....I know of 2 cases where the driver slept & the car met with an accident....both fatal....One case was quite recent ... a week ago about a HMC couple (both husband & wife nurse) died on the way but their 3 kids escaped...The husband was trying to reach at one go (sleepless).

For Saudi you will have to apply for Umrah visa. To do so you need to get your passport and your wife's plus a picture of each of you with white background. Then apply to any of the authroized offices which are approved by Sadui embassy. There are many of them in different locations. Fees are 200 Qrs per person and it takes about 2 weeks to process. Visa will be valid for one month. You need to mention if you will go by road or by air. You can get a list of all approved offices from the Saudi embassy itself. Wishing you all the best in shaa Allah.
