Having a big dog in Qatar

By MetS

I will relocate my family by the end of this year.
We have two dogs which one is a big dog.
I have already questioned the Qatar Vet to know if I can relocate the big one and answer were positive.
Since apts do not accept dogs I have to rent a villa but I heard in the forum that some compound having banned dogs. Somebody can tell me where?
So I need to know if there're pensions or place where i can let my dogs when we are out of Qatar during holidays.
Somebody can help?
Thanks.

If you want a villa, don't let me talk you out of it. But there are apartments that allow dogs. It took me a few weeks of looking to find one that I was really happy with, but they are out there.

There are various Compounds that allow Pets, just make sure you get it in writing from your landlord....

Some compounds allow pets. Some apartments allow pets. You just have to ask and get it in writing.

There are kennels for pets of varying standards, though they tend to book up quick over the summer.

I would look for a villa that's not in a compound. We have, and as long as the dogs are not destructive or cause a nuisance to neighbours you should be ok.

I am planning to bring my Golden Retriever out in January when its cooler.

There are kennels in Qatar. Ask Qatar pets, see Forum, they should be able to advise you on this.

Good Luck
