Converting Tourist Visa to Family Visa

Dear QLers,

I'm going to submit my RP application later this month. While doing that, I have plan to bring my family to Qatar using a Tourist Visa (sponsored by a Hotel), and then convert their Tourist Visa into Family Visa (provided I got my RP before their Tourist Visa expired in a month).

Can it be done like that?

Thanks in advance.

Why you trying to aply tourist visa first. not family visa.? in one month if you cannot get family visa you will paye 500 qr per day fee.!

better you aply familty visa from the begining.

and if you dont know what you need for aply family visa i can explain you .!

I have done the same and had no problem in having the tourist visa converted to family visa.

It might be safer though to wait till you get the RP and apply a family visa in the first place,as the RP issuance now is pretty fast.

Good luck!

First wait until you receive your RP. Let everything clear on your side and then apply for Tourist visa for the family. It hardly 3-5 days. Make sure that the Hotel do not charge you any money for issuing a No Objection Letter for converting the Tourist Visa into family visa. Good Luck to you!
