Anyone been to Paris ?

My company is sending me to Paris for a week on official work. I am thinking why not take my wife and kids too and utilize this chance for some sight seeing ? Obviously my budget is tight, so any recommendations on where to stay and what all places to visit. I would avoid expensive hotels to save cost.

For economical hotels check out tripadvisor.com. Use the train system as much as possible, its the best in Europe. I would have said best in the world but China now takes that honour. Try to do as much of the sight seeing on foot... Make sure you visit the Louvre, Champs Elysees, Eiffel (obviously)... the tour buses take you round pretty much everywhere but make sure you take the time to walk around maybe from Eiffel to Champs Elysees... really enjoyable. And you can also consider visiting Disneyland, its nice but not as good as the original in Orlando.

hEllo there... if you wanna save money, don't take the taxis in paris, they are very expensive. you can buy a full day or 2 full days ticket for the train. just try to get a map and everything will be ok. About places to visit... oh well... so many... the Louvre museum, Notre Dame, the Eiffel tower, the Champs Elysées, Versailles, and of course, you should visit lafayette international galleries and think " Oh, sh+++t, I should have brought more money!!" eheheheh :P
