Im not sure if ur in RG or whatever but just wanted to know something. In these companies which just won't hire ppl of certain nationalities is it openly said to the Human Resources Department not to hire these nationalities or is it insinuated by their bosses not to do so.
They usually bitter and twisted. I am sorry to say it but I have never have any bad experiences with Indians or other nationalities. The best customer service I had ever encounter are those from Africa.
It is v well known that "the indian mafia" from QA is arranging the flights only for Europe/USA for their indian origin flight attendants and of course Asia/Africa for the european girls,mayb cause these ones already know the area,ha,ha...Their HR Dept is full of coloured indian saris, isn't there any dressing code for such an institution?! By the way, Doha Bank became an "indian territory" mayb that's why they just nominated a white Head for Treasury Dept...so,no doubt also for RG!

I know of a few that won't hire various nationalities, because they know that once a manager from a certain background gets into a job, he will only hire people from the same background. It ruins any chance of diversity in the workforce, and it means that certain candidates will get overlooked.

QATAR society - as well as many other places in the world - is a classified one. This is an Arabic Islamic gulf country that has its own traditions. All of us knew that fact even during contact/package negotiation before coming over. ALL of us knew that salaries and packages are defined and limited by nationality , and we ALL accept that that fact and signed for. So, why now and after coming over we are complaining of that fact???!!!
Above that Qatar is a Muslim country and they have every right to protect their traditions and society in any way they consider deemed necessary. They have the right to modify the rules on their own. Why we accept that from the banks when we apply for visa (look to the back of any bank application and you would find that) and do not accept it from the local government.
It is also VERY IMPORTANT to mention that there is NO separation or discrimination whatsoever in QATAR when it comes to security, health and education.
As I said above we are mixing between BAD manners and racism. And let us be honest here, we all know that the most improper acts comes from the expats and not from the locals, epically from the expats in the oil and gas sectors.
AGAIN, we are getting here what you accepted and singed for in advance. So, please stop crying. And, if you do not like it, simply pack up and go home.
