Is 1,000 USD pay alright for a fresh starter like me?

I'll be signing an offer soon with Al-Mana Group - Nissan as an HR Executive. They are giving me 1,000 USD monthly salary (approximately 3,650QR); with board and lodging/apartment (elec and water included), transportation to and from the office, airfare provided, open contract for at least 2 years, after 2 years i get free airfare back to the Philippines and 1 month paid VL, for every year of service i get equivalent bonus like 1 month pay for the first year then 2 months pay equivalent for 2 years of service and so on. Medical and dental not included though. There's also OT pay. Thing is i cannot demand for more than 1,000 USD since my HR experience is 3 years and my employer says I'm still 23 years old (though I'm turning 24). is the deal fair enough? Please help me decide. Is Al-Mana a good company and employer? Who's currently working with them? Employer says will be staying in an apartment and room good for 2 persons(same nationality in the same room). You think the accommodation is alright? Mga Kababayan! Appreciate help on this. Thank you so much :)

Kabayan, If you're single and nobody depends from you that salary is enough, given the housing and transporation that your employer will provide as a plus. And, as others say, it really depends upon your lifestyle. I know people who are earning QR1000.00 a month and people who are also earning QR10,000 a month but they still have the same complaint: SALARY IS TOO LITTLE TO SUPPORT A FAMILY!

Goodluck. May you have a good life in Doha.

Hey good luck to you. Ok if you are young, single and adventurous. If you were married, kids, mistress, school I would tell you to go away as quick as possible.

$1000 will buy alot of mangoes back in Cebu.

Im an American making the exact same salary and happy to have a chance to start a company here. All i asked for is a room to sleep, money to eat, computers, software and let me create something. We will see. its better-off than being stuck in America anyway, i would halfway be dead. literally.

here is the thing

it 100% depend on your life style ... a thousan dollar is not big deal here .. given that housing & transportation problems are done ... u will live on the edge with your 1000 i guess

its a bit expensive in here
