The long wait is over..

Football (English premier League) is back today..

What more can one ask for?

out midfield is weak....carrick, hargo, anderson, nani, ronaldo, park, gigsy and the all mighty scholsey....a mix of class, speed, young blood, and experience, you can not..CAN NOT get a better mix...as opposed to your midfield who still needs to sign passes from their parents allowing them to stay past their curfew to play in the champions league :D

AND ITS NOT MANU, call us UNITED, MAN UNITED, MUFC, Red Devils, Red Army, or simply daddy

oh no...a bloody yank telling me about football, not just a yank...but a manc yank...not in this life time!!! I feel sick. It is Man U...because I say it is. Like I said before, you gotta respect the fergie but your midfield is just a wee bit on the weak side.

Arsene Wenger's Red Army.....WE HATE TOTTENHAM,

two things...A) its not MANU B) we had a @#!$ start to last years season after winning the community shield on penalties.... and history seems to be repeating itself.....is that a bad thing lol

fergie said we are getting a suprise soon, and in fergie we trust, if the news on berba is true (handing in transfer request) then this will be one hell of a suprise,

however

even if we dont get anyone, this is a team that is compared to the busby babes, we are more than covered in defense, midfield, and we do have tevez and rooney, and hopefully soon a fit saha (if he can survive walking out of the tunnel without suffering a long term injury), yes we need someone else, but we are not doomed, actually we are better of than last year, we have our captain back, park 3 lung is back, anderson and nani have spent a year and are developing well, and tevez and rooney got used to playing alongside each other.....

finaly....after two months of boredom, meaningless friendlies, and speculation on the 08-09 season...the fun begins.....Glory Man United....

By goodlookin• 17 Aug 2008 21:35
goodlookin

Man U were poor, without Ronaldo there's no one creating anything in midfield. The midfield looks a bit weak compared to Chelsea...i don't rate O'Shea, Carrick, Giggs or Scholes. Newcastle played very well, you gotta love keegan!!!

Chelsea looked good but Pompey to be fair were rubbish. Like I said a strong squad but not much talent up front, they need a striker more than Man U. Anelka, Schevchenko and Drogba will not be enough to win the title.

It's gonna be a tough season, who they bring in the next few weeks will be crucial...Robinho, Berbs, Santa.

....Arsenal are light in midfield & defence, need a roy keane & tony adams. I predict Arsenal to do well in the cups but fail in the league once again. Transition, Transition, Transition.

for me it starts today at 6, and it could not have started at a better time, i was major getting withdrawal symptoms for the past two months, would have been nice to see united land a striker before the newcastle game but the transfer season is not over yet, and the current team did manage to achieve history last season...... At a guess i would say most of you guys are part-time wanabee fans! This topic is like a bunch of mums arguing about football....no offense or nowt.

Man U are a HUGE club, as an Arsenal fan I have to hate them but I do respect them and Fergie, although Neville is a [mod note: stop swearing or you'll be banned]! Might walk it if they sign Berbs!(1st)

Chelsea are hated by most in the UK, they are a bit like Qatar...all money and no class or history!!! Stronger squad this year, but no talent upfront! (2nd)

Arsenal are class through and through. They may not win anything this year but they will play the best football. Look a bit lightweight but still enough class to push the top two. (3rd)

The Liverpool owners are creating problems and Rafa is doing his best to waist as much money as he can. A bit like the England team, alot of names but no real team spirit.(4th)

Come on you Gooners!!!!!!!!

As Talig posted above we have created a QL fantasy football league...

Not sure if everyone knows what it is though...

Bansically you are alloted 100 points and you have to assemble a squad of 15 real players with the 100 points.

Then when the week is played you collect points for the particular player you picked depending on how he does in the actual live game....

If you are interested but unsure of exactly how it works I am sure Talig or myself can help you further... Try it out!!!

They call it the American dream because you have to be asleep to see it... --George Carlin
