Monopoly World Edition
Well, looks like I'll have to give Latvia and Canada a second look in terms of real estate. Monopoly World Edition has just been released and the highest value real estate is Riga in Latvia followed by Montreal in Canada. Park Lane remains on the board representing London.
Oooh, I love Monopoly...ccan't wait to play this new edition.

I got a freebee CD with The Times and it's brought back memories of my youth. Mind you, I don't like losing to the Entrepreneur on the computer - it's not quite the same as playing with my schoolfriend every day in those heady days of the late 50s during the school summer holidays, over a glass of Tizer with a half-brick of ice-cream stuffed into it. :D
Sigh
Bugger! - now I'm going all maudlin and nostaligic again (where's those damn pills)
It was my boss who designed it =pp LOL
Stay safe =)
Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?
Tall, you'll have to come to my beach house then aka the Four Seasons...I've opened it to commoners such as yourself as is my generousity.

I would certainly vote for Montreal as best place to visit...maybe even live...but to invest in real estate?? erm...not so much LOL
Stay safe all.

Yes, if there was a Doha/Qatar Monopoly The Pearl would have to be on there.

I think people voted for their favourite places to visit and not necessarily real estate value. The top one, Riga, in Latvia, is really beautiful. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But then again, I don't know that many people who've been to Latvia :/ Oh, I don't know.

Of course. A diamond in the rough and all that :D
Surely the fact that Diamond lives there would make it worthy of inclusion =pp
Stay safe =)

btw, the idea of a monopoly board isn't to have all the most expensive places on it. They get more expensive as you go round the board (or from the bottom up on that web page).
I've never been invited to your house ;)
It could be a squalid shack in the industrial area for all I know :p
I think the title on the web page says it all; YOU HAVE SPOKEN!
Let the general public decide something and you'll always get strange results.
Tall, you forgot my house ;)

Yes, RR, I must admit, Montreal isn't the first city that springs to mind for real estate investment lol. Although it is a great place to visit...I particularly enjoy it at autumn...one of my fave places is St. John's Oratory.

expanding the marketabilkity of the game..
I mean - Gdynia ???? Where did they come from ??
Yes, we could have Ras Laffan, Dhukan, Messieed + one other.
Or sticking on a transport theme you could have The Airport, Mowasalot (sp?), Toyota's head quarters, and a Jet Ski shop.
So how about "Gas Works" ?

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
What would Doha/Qatar Monopoly have on it then?
There are 8 price bands, with 2 streets/locations in the cheapest and most expensive and 3 in the others. You also need 4 train stations (or similar) and two utilities.
Suggestions please...
Although i'm not sure how they arrived at those values Diamond....Montreal isn't even the most expensive city in Canada to live in...let alone on an internation scale lol....still a great city to visit (if you haven't already, I HIGHLY recommend it!).
Stay safe.
