QG sent me an offer as Production Engineer for QRs 17k BS,2 k transport allowance, indifinite, House, medical and school provided, interest free car loan 5 x BS etc. I am Indonesian, wife and 3 kids and have 10+ years of experience. Should I accept it? They say 'school is provided', Does it mean school in Doha either Al-khor will be paid 100%?
Need your advice. Thanks in advance.

I suggest to ask about your grade as it will dictate your future posittion in promotion. If you are in the entry level then you would go through long journey to reach the grade and salary level. Ask for the middle range will be better. If your salary is lower than the range you can be adjusted accordingly after probation period or during the salary revision.

Grade will be non-negotiable. Grade is based on position.

Dajoyoung,

So what grade should I ask for, as QG did not say anything about grade in their offer letter?

Thanks

17K BS is good enough as most of them following their standard. What grade you get is also important. Children scool is standard for QG in Al-Khor. Most of KG friend like the school too much mostly for Indonesian and malaysian.

Yes, it does mean that school is paid for but you need to check which school in case you want to make certain that is the British school the kids are enrolled in. If you are going to live up in Al Khor, most probably, school would be up there too...

Can't help with any insight on your salary offer but QG pretty much have a set grading system from what I understand.
