STEERING BECAME HARD
Today I just experienced my Honda Civic 2003's power steering has suddenly become hard. Kindly let me know what must be the problem? Is it a major problem. Garages in my area are closed and will open at 7. But I am worried about it. The car is working fine but while TURNING the steering has become hard to TURN. There is Steering oil.
Dear Friends,
Thanks very much for your comments and help!!! I appreciate. :)

You either need or lost all of your power steering fuid
due to leak. Or your power steering fluid pump is out of order. I hate these problems because al the dealers have monopolies on the cars and parts are 400-500 % markup.
At least Honda parts only rape you, not outright take advantage and fleece you until you are downbeaten and lose your dignity like the American car dealers, Ford and GM. Those are a complete ripoff. Whatever price they say for a part you can surely get it at any dealer in the USA for one fifth the price.
As per MD:
"The drive belt may be worn, check tension and physical substance
There may be pressure leaks in the hoses
The valves may not work"
If the change in steering was sudden then any of these could be it.
You are probably looking at 50 (belt) to 500QR (Pump)
The repair is a simple DIY job, however the diagnosis is not.
A power steering pump is
a) belt-driven
b) pressurized
c) has valves
The drive belt may be worn, check tension and physical substance
There may be pressure leaks in the hoses
The valves may not work
In the worst case the steering assembly has faults and there are just too many parts, upper steering strut, lower steering strut, flexible joints, ball studs, and and and....
You should see an expert.
or the belt is broke or slipping
i think Oil tank might be empty
Check your power steering Oil it might be empty
This may be due to broken compressor built or oil leak
