heero-Yuy2 - That's what I was fearing. Bush (1 term), Clinton (2 terms), Bush (2 terms) , Clinton (? terms), Bush (Jeb, ? terms), Clinton (Chelsea, ? terms).
20 years of two families was enough!
What people fail to realize is that the McCain-Palin ticket is a Populist one (ala Teddy Roosevelt, who took on the industrialists).
Obama and Bill; Clinton are great orators . they can think on their feet. Sadly, many politicians now have speeches written taking into account political correctness, opinion poles, surveys etc.. They cannot adlib for toffee..
Today I saw that a bunch of posters were circulating of her with her head photo shopped on to different bodies, all doing lewd things. You wouldn't see that done with a male candidate.
however, i used to think that she was not ready to be VP. but after hearing about the investigation into her possible abuse of power as governor in Alaska, i think she could be a worthy successor to dick cheney.

And if you look at it, would a man with Hilary's same personality have been portrayed as a bitch?? And Bush and his predecessor in the idiot box Quayle were never attacked as much as this.
WARNING FEMINIST RANT: Is anyone else disgusted by the coverage of Palin?? I find the USA's (and frankly all media coverage) of women candidates to be extremely sexist. Clinton was portrayed as a Beeatch and Palin's being portrayed as a ditz. Can we generlize anymore?
Saw Palin's speech.. OK, she's not much of a speaker, but she is photogenic..
"The Palin family crisis that we were talking about on Sunday and Monday ... has been solved now, and today the baby is being adopted by Angelina Jolie," CBS "Late Show" host David Letterman deadpanned on Tuesday.

Hilary is a great speaker and a very able politician. The press has been very unkind to her and she deserves a lot more credit than she gets..
I like Bill Clinton, just that i don't like his wife, dunno why but it's a fealing i have

There's just not pleasing you gen x-ers. There are no saints in politics kids.
britexpat - so to be a good politician you have to be telegenic, good orator or what? Some of the most mesmerizing orators have been tyrants.

I don't know if it's quite as bad as the way the media attack them. If you look at the candidates wives it's just as sterotypical.
