DOHA • Members of Qatar Living, a popular local website, have planned a silent yellow ribbon tribute this evening at the Corniche in memory of Mohammed Al Majed, the 16-year-old Qatari student who was murdered in Hastings, UK recently.
Mohammed and four of his friends were brutally assaulted by a group of boys, allegedly a racist attack, outside a restaurant in Hastings. He later died in a London hospital.
Condemning the killing of the Qatari student, the post by Angelwings said, "With regard to the tragedy in Hastings, we are plan to use this day to show our sympathy for the family and also make a stand against this kind of meaningless violence. Hopefully the UK government (and others around the world) will take note and give this kind of behaviour zero tolerance."
Qatar Living members and others who want to take a stand against the increasing incidence of racial violence globally, as well as show their heartfelt sympathy to the Majed family will assemble at the Corniche this evening, exactly one week after the original stand made in the UK.
Those who wish to participate in this silent stand from 4.45 to 5pm are called to wear yellow clothing or "bring something yellow… like a flower, a balloon or an armband" that will distinguish people making the stand against violence.

People fasting wont be able to make it :S
