Going to Iran for a wedding

Hi, I am going to a wedding in Iran, a village near Tehran in October to my cousin's wedding. He is British and she is Iranian but they live in London.
My question is does anyone have any advice or information for me? I Before I came to Qatar I hadn't really travelled before, only been to Noth of England once! Any info gratefully received.

Sounds like great fun.. Enjoy yourself.. I went to Tehran about 15 years ago. The people were really nice and down to earth.

In Vang Vieng - real backwater place. The hotel we stayed at had a wedding party outside. We went over to ask what time the festivities would be over as we were getting up early the next day to travel. We were invited to the wedding, sat at the 'top' table, danced with the bride and ended up giving the happy couple $100 as a wedding gift.

I think I may have bought the bride! Fantastic night!!!

So, Jasmine, to answer your question, just do as everyone else does and you should be fine!

Anything else you'd like me to Google for you? ;o)

I don't really have any advice, but I will say this - LUCKY YOU!

Experiencing weddings in different cultures is awesome, and not something everyone gets to do. Outside of UK weddings I've only been to an Italian one, but it's so interesting seeing how they do things. I'd love to attend one in Qatar or Iran or anywhere.
