I'm looking for a place in Doha where I can study modern arabic for a few months. Price is not an issue, I am looking for a modern facility with a good level of teaching. I have no background in arabic apart from being able to read the Quran. Any help would be very appreciated.
If price is not an Issue, get the Rosetta Stone software www.rosettastone.com , with Arabic Levels 1,2 & 3 for less than USD600. You can study at home, and even share it with your household, at your prefered time. I got my French levels 1, 2 & 3. I am telling you... you'll love it, and it's worth every penny you spent.
The method of teaching is superb...you'll start with the core fundementals all the way to the advanced level. Each Level is different, and by the time you finish Level 1, you are confident enough to walk outside and communicate. It even has the voice recognition system, where it rates your diction if you sounded like a local speaker, or a newbie.
Well my friends were going to a course I think it was at Qatar University. I will check with them and inform you from here, with an exact answer. Because I want to learn Arabic as well. Have worked in Egypt for more than 2 years but didn't take any courses so I am beginner also :)
