Is it true that there is an additional insurance to travel to Dubai?

We're planning to go to Dubai on month end via Qatar Airways. I've been hearing about this new mandatory additional travel or health or some insurance fee to enter and stay in Dubai.

Is this true? Has anybody been there lately? Please share your experience.

Saudi? But I'm only going to Dubai -- and BY PLANE, not land.

And the UAE website is all arabic -- I can't find english functions.

Yes there is additionals Insurance not only for UAE but you will also need to buy for Saudi Arabia. You have to buy these at the Border..
